Welcome to Causefolk

By causefolk · Oct 10, 2026

Causes run on people. The food gets sorted, the trail gets cleared and the kids get tutored because someone showed up, and someone else made it easy for them to show up. Causefolk is for that second person: the coordinator who keeps the roster, answers the “what time again?” texts and still has a cause to run.

What Causefolk does

You publish a cause with its shifts: one-off, weekly, or monthly by weekday or by date. Your folk sign up on a page we host for you or on your own website, without creating an account. We confirm them, remind them the day before by email or text, hold a spot for the next person when someone drops out, and record who came and for how long.

When you need more than a name and an email, there is an application form, approvals that can expire and renew, document uploads, and background checks through your own Checkr account. When you need to prove impact, there are reports by period, by cause and by person, with a CSV for the board.

What it does not do

It does not ask your folk to install an app, remember a password or scroll through a feed. It does not send marketing. It does not decide who is allowed to help; you do. It gives you the record, the reminders and the roster, and gets out of the way.

Who it is for

Small and mid-sized organizations where one or two people coordinate everyone else: food banks, parks groups, shelters, literacy programs, faith communities, school foundations. If your current system is a spreadsheet and a group chat, you are exactly who we built this for.

How to start

Start a free trial, name your organization and publish your first cause. The portal and the embed are ready the moment you do. The whole thing takes less time than writing this week’s reminder email by hand.

Welcome. Run your cause. Keep your folk.
